Please find attached the Principal’s Information Handbook (including the Summary Form for Exemptions) which contains all the pertinent information regarding Provincial Assessments and Exemptions and Adaptations for 2009.

Please note the changes in the exemption and adaptation policy for this year. This year, exemption and adaptations will be school-based decisions and CRT data in 2009 will also include a profile of the number of exemptions by school/district/province.

Submission of appropriate forms (exemption form and summary forms, for example) should be forwarded to the Department of Education by May 01, 2009.
